This violation of the law in New York is Aggravated Unlicensed Operation (AUO). If you get caught driving with a revoked license a second time within an eighteen month time period is an AUO-2nd degree and is a misdemeanor. The penalty is a minimum fine of $500, mandatory imprisonment up to 180 days or probation and a mandatory surcharge.
